It takes anywhere from a week to two weeks for our Phase One logo design exploration to be completed. During that time we research our clients competition, and begin the graphic design process, weeding out the designs that are not “working” and pulling aside the designs that are. When we are in the logo design process, we always use this method.
While designing the logo graphics for Nappy Automotive in Croton on Hudson, NY we generated a large number of design options, icons and images as well as font style type treatments.
When the day came where we were ready to present our design work to our client, Ron Napolitani of Westchester ,NY, we were really excited, because we knew the options looked really great. We really hoped he felt the same!
We showed our client six designs. We had narrowed down the graphics and were feeling really good about these six options.
As we started to lay the actual designs out on Ron’s counter at Nappy Automotive, we noticed his face brightening. The excitement of a Phase One presentation is thrilling! Especially when our client is happy about what he sees!
In our next blog, I’ll tell you about how we used the process of elimination to narrow down the logo design number one choice.
