Icons and images can add tremendous value to your logo design. We believe that using an icon can communicate quickly the overall essence of your company or product. Creating a unique symbol that captures your brand is a great way to stand out in a sea of competitors.
As we listen to our clients describe their brand, we visualize what symbol or picture would best describe who they are. We listen for keywords. We can then begin to visualize shapes and colors that will eventually form their logo icons and images.
In our initial consultation with Karen Jones, a certified Holistic Coach from Ridgefield, Connecticut, she described her technique as having four elements. She utilizes a process she has named Kaleidoscope Focus with her clients. The process is made up of four key components, each being symbolized by a color.
As she described her methodology, I was picturing an icon with four distinct colors, showing these four components. I was thinking of bands of color or circles of color.
A picture is worth a thousand words. In logo design, sometimes an icon can quickly communicate who you are to your potential customer. The icon that we created for KScope Focus communicates movement, a journey, and a process-all being represented in flowing bands of color that break loose from a sphere that contains them.
We believe that a proprietary symbol can enhance your brand’s identity demonstrating quickly who you are. Think of some popular brand icons, Golden Arches, the Nike Swish, the Gatorade Lightening Bolt. These all tell their brand story in an instant. Yours can too!
