You mean there is another social media site to keep posting to? Yikes. All of this can be very tedious and overwhelming, we feel your pain! However, the benefits of having and updating your Google+ account out weigh the downfall of taking the time to post! We promise!
What is Google+?
According to … well, Google … Google+ is: a social networking and identity service that is owned and operated by Google Inc. Google has described Google+ as a “social lay
er” that enhances many of its online properties. It is is a place to connect with friends and family, and explore all of your interests. Share photos, send messages, and stay in touch with people.
The Bottom Line
It’s exactly like having a Facebook account. The posting is very similar minus people writing on your “wall”. And guess what? It enhances your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for FREE! We love that incentive!
After doing some research, we found out that when you post on Google+, your post (with your business’ name!) is more likely to show up in a search engine than a landing page, or sometimes even your website. We’re guessing it depends on Google’s mood that day. Therefore, it is SO important to constantly update your Google+ page if you want your name or company out there! All you need is a few posts a week! And better yet, hashtag the heck out of it. With all of that juice, your chances of coming up in a search are 50% more likely than if you didn’t post at all. Now that’s awesome!

We cleared our cookies and cache to get a clean sweep in our search engines. *When you continuously search for something on Google, they are smart enough to make that search re-appear time and time again for you to make your searching easier and more targeted. Those smarty pants!*
We searched “logo design westchester” in Google. At the bottom of the page (Still the first page of Google!) were posts from HVGD and Janeen about logo design! Now that’s pretty sweet!
