You don’t get a second chance on a first impression. That means everything needs to speak to the needs and wants of a prospective customer. You may not realize it, but even elements like a high quality custom logo design will make a difference. If you are thinking of redoing the company logo, keep these three factors in mind.
The Color Choices are Wise
What looks pretty on a computer screen will not necessarily wow people once it is on business cards, company letterhead, or those banners you purchased to go with your trade show booth. Go with colors that will stand out easily and not blend into the background. Better yet, choose a color to “own”.
For example, you really like the idea of using a yellow smiling sun with the company name used to create the smile. On the drawing board, it looks great. But look what happens when you see a mockup of that smiling sun on your ecru colored letterhead and business cards. How’s that sun working for you now? Chances are that it doesn’t seem all that wonderful anymore.
The Fonts are Fun and Easy to Read
Who says lettering has to be boring? For your custom logo design, try some fonts that are a little out of the box. Get away from block lettering and try some different script designs. The only thing you want to avoid is choosing a font that is a little too elaborate and frilly. While it may be very pretty, that doesn’t make it easy for people to read. Your logo must be legible.
The Images Don’t Stink
Choosing images for your logo can be rather daunting. Just because your company delivers food, doesn’t necessarily mean you need to have a food image on your logo! Although it can be easier to recognize, you’re allowed to think outside the box! See what we did here for Frannie’s Goodie Shop. Frannie’s is a frozen yogurt and goodie shop located in Ridge Hill, Yonkers, and also in Mt. Kisco. We designed a festive, confetti like, logo featuring toppings to give consumers a happy feeling.
Your logo should immediately connect with customers and be easy for customers to remember you for the right reasons. That’s why we’re here to help! Do you have any questions about how you can connect to your stakeholders? Feel free to comment!
