When you hand a potential customer your business card, you are handing them the best advertising tool you have. Your business card tells people who you are when you’re not around. So, make it excellent! here is a “before & after” study of several business cards we recently designed.
Take a look at what we did for our client Kerry Kourie from Skinchanted. We gave it more of a “spa feeling” by changing the colors and the flow of the card.
By offering someone your business card, you are handing them a piece of you. That is why your logo has to be well designed, your information correct and most importantly – pleasing to the eye! You want your business card to be memorable and attractive. How about the quality? Is it shiny? Is it a flat, piece of paper that looks like it can be thrown away? Your image is reflected on your business card. Remember- Cheaper isn’t always better!
Some people receive hundreds of business cards a week. How will you make sure they remember yours? What bit of flair can you add to your card to make it stand out? Rounded edges, the New York City Skyline cutout – these are just some fun ideas that can help you make a different impression.
What about what information you provide? You have to pick out what is most important. Your name, your phone number, email address, physical address, and company website. Space permitting, cell phone number and fax number. Simple and clean is definitely always better since you don’t want to clutter your card!
