Hudson Valley Graphic Design has implemented internship programs for High School seniors looking to get real life experience in the world of design and branding. Located right in the neighborhood of Croton-on-Hudson, we work with students one on one to teach them the design process from start to finish. The students shadow the team at HVGD and get a firsthand look at how businesses build their brands through logo design, packaging, marketing and more.
The award winning design firm collaborates with the Croton Harmon School District who encourages that all seniors complete the internship program, CHOOSE, in the business community before graduating high school. The students spend several hours a week in the office with the team for the last semester of the school year. This year’s CHOOSE intern and future Fashion Institute of Technology design student, Julia Vindigni, had the opportunity to attend a business workshop “Profitize your Small Business” where Hudson Valley Graphic Design owner and lead designer Janeen Violante served as a speaker and panelist. “I had a great time meeting all the different business owners from the area and I learned some interesting lessons about marketing a small business,” said Julia.
Hudson Valley Graphic Design has been offering smart design solutions and brand consultation to businesses for over three decades. With a team of talented designers, marketing experts and production technicians they specialize in logos, websites, brochures, product packaging and social media implementation. “Through the years my own children went through this internship program at the Croton School District and truly enjoyed the experience while learning valuable real world business lessons,” said Violante. “We are excited to be a part of this program and have the opportunity to give back to our community while introducing the branding world to the next generation of future business professionals.”
