Daddy, you would be proud of me on this Father’s Day. You would be proud that I am using my God-given talent to serve my community and others.
You would be proud that I have committed my self to excellence in design and life. You would be proud that I try my hardest (well, most of the time) to establish meaningful relationships with my family friends and neighbors. Just like you taught me, Dadd-i-o.
You always shined when I displayed my artwork. You would be very proud of the many displays of my artwork today, throughout this community and throughout the greater New York area.
You used to chuckle and say “That’s New York” when I was off to my classes at Parsons or off to a client meeting while designing for corporate…and now you would chuckle still as I design for local small businesses who would rather work directly with a talented designer that talk over the phone with a company who pushes out graphics likes it’s selling candy.
Today on Father’s Day, 2013.I want to thank you Dadd-i-o , Walter Geary, for the work ethic you instilled in me and the values you gave me. I love you so.
