Follow these steps, filling in the appropriate information for your business or product.
Your cover photo has a standard image size of: 851(w) x 315(h) px, which makes it a significant billboard when opened up. Think long, horizontal rectangle. It is best to crop your artwork or photo to that exact size. Otherwise the computer will distort your image to make it fit that size, and you don’t want that! Keep in mind that you also have your profile picture on the lower left hand corner. Whatever cover art you choose will have to work well with your profile picture, which will cover the bottom left corner of your cover photo.
Businesses often use their company logo for their profile picture, but make sure it works in the square format…if not, you’ll have to re-think this.maybe your logo graphics will work better as the larger cover photo, leaving the profile picture for another image.
You’ll be creating a jpeg. file of your design to upload into Facebook. Remember, once you design your first cover photo, you can easily create alternates and change your cover photo if you wish, just by uploading another design.
