This marks the eleventh year that we have been designing the branded graphics for the Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger. It has truly been a blessing to give back to our community in this way.
Each year we are challenged to come up with a new design, based on the committee’s input with only one must-have… the stalk of wheat.
This year’s shirt is reminiscent of the original t-shirt graphics created for the very first race in 1980. That shirt was green and had a simple stalk of wheat displayed with the race name and date. We took that concept and added the race name utilizing an interesting typographic treatment, and added Harry Chapin’s portrait which appears on many of the shirts.
Much has changed over the past eleven years…my children are grown and not around for the group shot for starters!
